Mississippi district wins $60 million bond election

Money will pay for a new high school and other facility improvements.

Voters in the DeSoto County (Miss.) School District has approved a $60 million bond proposal. The money will be used to build a high school in Lake Cormorant, middle schools in the Lewisburg and Center Hill areas and elementary schools in the Lewisburg and DeSoto Central areas, as well as additional classrooms at DeSoto Central middle and high schools.
