Eastern Michigan breaks ground on science complex

Project will revamp existing facility and add 72,000 square feet of space
Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti has broken ground on a $90-million science complex, the university's biggest single construction project ever. The project will reconfigure the 181,000 square feet of lecture space and long hallways in the 1969 Mark Jefferson Science Building and will add 72,000 square feet of space.
