Temporary home for Oakland school hit by fire

Peralta Elementary will be housed in a former middle school facility while fire damage is repaired.

Peralta Elementary School in Oakland, Calif., has resumed classes in a temporary home after an arson fire last week shuttered the school and stunned the community. The school district says the facility could take months to repair, so teachers, parents and school district employees have moved to the old Carter Middle School campus in North Oakland.
