Declining enrollment leads to decision to shut down Obama Elementary

From The Asbury Park Press: An elementary school in Asbury Park, N.J., that was renamed a year ago for President Barack Obama will be shut down. Bruce N. Rodman, a state-appointed monitor who oversees finances in the Asbury Park disrict, has ordered that elementary students be reassigned from Obama Elementary to the city's two other elementary schools as of July 1. The school had been known as Bangs Avenue Elementary School before its renaming.
