District's 4-day week request is denied in Iowa

Bondurant-Farrar had hoped to close on Mondays
Feb. 27, 2009

Iowa state education officials have turned down the Bondurant-Farrar district’s request for a four-day school week. Officials wanted to take Mondays off and add a little more than an hour to each of the proposed four school days. State officials say Bondurant-Farrar officials did not provide enough evidence to show that the reduction in school days would benefit students.
