Wausaukee voters reject $575,000 funding boost for next school year

A northern Wisconsin school board has initiated the break-up of its school district following the failure of a tax increase referendum. The Wausaukee School Board has approved a resolution to consider dissolution of the district. The referendum would have boosted the 620-student district’s revenue in the next school year by $575,000, but it failed by 19 votes.
