Carthage (Mo.) district plans new high school; district will spend more than $31 million on facility.

The Carthage (Mo.) R-9 district is building a new high school that will cost more than $31 million. The board has decided to spend more than $2 million beyond the basic construction bid and include an auxiliary gymnasium, wiring for security systems, skylights and terrazzo tile in some high traffic areas. The architect is Hight-Jackson Associates.
