Tigard-Tualatin school system says it can't afford to keep 2 high school pools open

From The Portland Oregonian: The city councils in Tigard and Tualatin, Ore., will ask voters to create a special tax district that would provide funds to operate two swimming pools now run by the Tigard-Tualatin School District. The district operates swimming pools at two high schools, but says it no longer can afford them. Keeping both pools open costs $500,000 to $600,000 annually.
