Georgia college plans satellite campus

Appalachian Technical College looks to build facility in Canton, Ga.

A new Appalachian Technical College campus could be open in Canton, Ga., in as soon as three years. With $7 million in state funds, the Jasper, Ga.-based college plans to build the first phase of a satellite campus. The college originally planned to build a 120,000-square-foot satellite campus, but because of the reduced funding, the first phase is for a 30,000-square-foot building.
