March 6, 2007

The Crowley (Texas) school board has called a $416.8 million bond election for May 12. It's the district's first bond election since 2002, when voters authorized a $165 million package. The funds will be used to build a high school, a middle school, several elementary or intermediate schools, a career and technology center, a fine arts and athletic center, agricultural science facilities and an expanded building for the Crowley Learning Center. The bonds also will pay for safety and technology improvements as well as land for future schools in southwest Fort Worth and Crowley.
