Jan. 13, 2011

From The Jackson Clarion-Ledger: Madison County (Miss.) school officials are considering closing East Flora Middle School to cope with an anticipated shortfall in state funding. With 147 students in grades 6 to 8, East Flora Middle is the smallest school in the district of more than 11,700. But town officials contend that the middle school is essential to the survival of the town.
