Idaho district gets funds for expansion

Kuna schools will expand high school.

Voters in the Kuna (Idaho) district have approved a $25.5 million bond proposal. The bond funds will pay for construction of a new elementary school, an alternative school, additions to the high school, and districtwide technology upgrades. The added space will enable the district to better accommodate its enrollment of 4,500--that a 50 percent increase since 2000. Officials say the high school is 100 students over capacity.
