State Supreme Court ruling may force schools to pay back taxes

From The Columbus Dispatch: Landlords who rent commercial buildings to Ohio charter schools are not exempt from paying property taxes, the state Supreme Court has ruled. Many schools or their for-profit management companies across the state may have to pay years of back taxes, charter advocates say. The court's decision overturned a ruling by the state Board of Tax Appeals concerning a for-profit entity that leased property to Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy.
