Cleveland charter group gets $2 million to open more campuses

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: A national fund that provides seed money for charter schools will supply a Cleveland group with $2 million to open four additional facilities. The Charter School Growth Fund has approved grants and low-interest loans for Breakthrough Schools, an umbrella organization representing four existing charters: Citizens Academy, The Intergenerational School, Entrepreneurship Preparatory and Village Preparatory. Cleveland district officials have indicated interest in letting charters use buildings. The district has signed preliminary agreements to be the new schools' state-required sponsor, but that doesn't guarantee access to buildings.
