Denver will move school to a facility closer to where its students live

New site for Knight Fundamental Academy will shorten bus rides for most students

The Denver school board has decided to move Knight Fundamental Academy, which serves a mostly black student population, from a facility in an affluent white neighborhood to a building in a more diverse neighborhood about six miles north. Moving the school to the now-empty Hallett Elementary will make it easier for parents and students, whose average bus ride will be shortened by 15 to 20 minutes.
