From The Portland Oregonian: West Linn-Wilsonville (Ore.) school board members have voted to eliminate nine instructional days this year to contend with a $3.3 million shortfall in the district's budget. The West Linn Education Association, the union that represents West Linn-Wilsonville School District teachers, must vote to approve the proposal, which includes six additional furlough days for educators and ends the 2010-11 school year one week earlier than scheduled.
