San Diego museum may exclude charter school

The 10-year partnership between the San Diego Children's Museum and its namesake charter school has been described as a marriage. But a divorce may be on the horizon as the museum prepares to open a new $25 million home downtown. The museum's board of directors is debating whether to keep its promise to house the Museum School at the new facility. The possibility the 80-student school would be left out has outraged parents and others, who point out that the school helped the museum raise the money to build the facility. School supporters say the new museum was pitched during fundraisers as a place that would house the school.
