District expects roofs will help cut energy costs
From The Lancaster Intelligencer-Journal: The Lancaster (Pa.) School District has added green roofs at three elementary schools — Lafayette, Wharton and Ross. The vegetated roofs, which are designed to reduce rainwater runoff and conserve energy, are the first installed at public schools in Lancaster County.
