News release: With the future of public education funding in Texas uncertain, the North East School District in San Antonio has decided to postpone a $399.4 million bond election that would have been held in May 2011. The school board will revisit the proposal when more information from the Texas Legislature is available about school funding. North East administrators had hoped by now to have definitive input on legislative decisions for public education funds; however, that information will likely not be available until late May.
