Lady Byrd Johnson Middle School will feature a roof covered with solar panels

From T.H.E. Journal: Lady Bird Johnson Middle School in the Irving (Texas) Independent School District will have a 582-kilowatt solar installation that the district says will make the school the largest net-zero middle school in the United States. LBJ Middle School's net-zero design consists of a system of low-weight, cylindrical solar panels covering the facility's entire 150,000-square-foot roof. The building itself will be made of energy-efficient materials, which will enable the school to consume half the energy of a typical middle school.
