Michigan legislator wants to ban cigarette smoking in college residence halls

Proposal also would prohibit chewing tobacco.

A Michigan legislator has introduced a bill that would ban smoking from public and private college residence halls in the state. The proposal would make smoking and chewing tobacco in residence halls a misdemeanor punishable by a $100 fine.
