Commission wants Dallas district to look at removing metal detectors from schools

Budget review panel says action would save money, make schools more welcoming

From The Dallas Morning News: A budget review commission in the Dallas district says the district should consider removing metal detectors from middle schools and high schools. The commission’s report says that the move could save money because up to four people in each school have to oversee the metal detectors. It also would help students get to classes more quickly make the school appear more welcoming.
