$27.5 million request comes after larger proposals failed

TheSnoqualmie Valley (Wash.) district is seeking approval on March 10 of a $27.5 million bond proposal. About $22.1 million in bonds would provide repairs and upgrades of school buildings and systems throughout the district. The remaining $5.4 million would help alleviate crowding at Mount Si High School by adding six double-modular classrooms to the high school campus. The bond request is significantly smaller than the ones voters rejected three times in the last two years. Those proposals ranged from $189 million to $209 million. All received majority support, but did not win the 60 percent majority needed for approval. To read more district information about the proposal, click here.
