From The St. Paul Pioneer Press: The General John Vessey Jr. Leadership Academy, an 8-year-old charter high school in West St. Paul, Minn., abruptly closed over the winter break after running out of money. School officials say a combination of factors that forced the closure. Staff turnover caused enrollment to fall from more than 100 students in 2007 to about 50 this school year.
