Split decision on bond requests in Alaska district

Voters in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (Alaska) School District approve one request, reject a second.

From The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman: Voters in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (Alaska) School District have approved a $34 million bond proposal that will pay to replace roofs, upgrade fire alarms and remove asbestos from aging school buildings. However, a $9 million proposal for athletic facility upgrades was rejected.
