Artwork by Russian painter may draw bids of more than $1 million.

A painting that has hung without fanfare for years on an auditorium wall of the public school in North Attleborough, Mass., may bring the town a windfall of more than $1 million. "Afghans," painted by Alexandre Iacovleff, was donated to the school in 1951. Appraisers have told school officials that the 7-by-10-foot vertical work is valued at $600,000 to $800,000 and could fetch twice that at auction.
