Second location for Long Beach charter school

The Long Beach (Calif.) Unified School District has opened a second location for The New City School. The charter school’s new $1.4 million site is in a former warehouse. Its 12,000 square feet will house 240 students in grades K to 3. The school can be expanded to 29,000 square feet and eventually will house grades K to 8. The architect is IBI Group.
