A federal judge has ordered theDetroit Public Schools to rehire two teachers who were fired after protesting plans to close 38 public schools in 2007. U.S. District Stephen J. Murphy has found that the board's firing of Stephen J. Conn and Heather was "highly impermissible, apparently dishonest, and constitutionally violative."
