Nebraska repeals breakup of Omaha school district

The governor of Nebraska has signed a law that repeals legislation that would have forced the breakup of the Omaha Public Schools. The plan will mean major changes for education in metro Omaha. The 11 districts in Douglas and Sarpy counties will share the same tax base and work together to integrate schools, including the creation of interdistrict schools.
