Jordan (Utah) district will permit ads on school buses

Law passed earlier this year gives districts in Utah the authority to sell ads
Sept. 28, 2011

From The Salt Lake Tribune: The Jordan (Utah) school board has adopted a policy allowing advertisements on buses. The types of ads will be limited: No adult content will be permitted and no ads from “competing educational organizations,” including charter and private schools, will be accepted. Earlier this year, the Utah Legislature passed a law allowing districts to sell advertisements on buses to help cover rising transportation costs. The Legislature’s fiscal analyst estimated that ads on school buses could generate $3.3 million for education statewide.
