All-girls school may open in San Antonio

The San Antonio Independent School District is looking to open the third all-girls public school in Texas--an experiment educators hope will lead more girls to careers in math and science and encourage parents to keep their children in the shrinking urban district. The Foundation for the Education of Young Women, based in Addison, has pledged $1 million for the school, which would open in the fall of 2008.
