Michigan district cancels classes after bus vandalism

18 of the 58 buses in the West Bloomfield Hills district were damaged

From The Detroit Free Press: The West Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) district was forced to close schools for one day after vandals disabled about a third of the district's school buses. Video surveillance showed two people Sunday night breaking into the bus yard, yanking wires from batteries, pulling fuses and letting the air out of tires. Eighteen of the district's 58 buses were disabled. Because too many students would have been left without transportation, the district canceled classes on Monday. Schools reopened Tuesday.
