$53 million ocean facility is dedicated at Texas A&M at Galveston

Ocean and Coastal Studies Building has opened on Pelican Island in Galveston County

News release: Texas A&M University at Galveston has dedicated its new Ocean and Coastal Studies Building. The $53 million, 110,000-square-foot building is home to 40 faculty researchers, 100 graduate students, and undergraduate students in 10 scientific major areas of study. It has 30 individual laboratories, two large classrooms and several meeting rooms along with faculty, graduate student and administrative offices, as well as the learning/discovery areas in the main circulation core, and a suite of advanced computer aided visualization laboratories. The architect is WHR Architects.
