$54 million high school to open in Roanoke, Va.

Construction on William Fleming High nears completion

From The Roanoke Times: Workers are putting the finishing touches on the $57 million William Fleming High School in Roanoke, Va. The school boasts a a 2,500-seat gym, a 454-seat theater, a spacious dance studio with softwood floors, a band room with up-to-date acoustical features, and large, well-lighted science classrooms in each of the four academic wings, known as "pods." William Fleming will be the second new high school to open in Roanoke in as many years: Patrick Henry High completed the final stage of its $54 million renovation last fall. Fleming is scheduled to open in September. The architect is Rife & Wood.
