The school, one of the nation's oldest black colleges, is millions of dollars in debt

From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Morris Brown College, one of the country's oldest black colleges, is facing foreclosure next month. The Atlanta school, which at times has an enrollment of more than 3,000 student, now is down to about 50. An auction of assets, including the administration building, is scheduled for Sept. 4. Over the last two decades, while other Atlanta higher-education institutions – Spelman College, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University – have thrived, Morris Brown withered away.
