The Cincinnati (Ohio) district is scheduled to break ground this week on John P. Parker Elementary School. The 76,700-square-foot school is to replace an existing facility and will hold 550 students in grades pre-K to 8. The current building, situated in what will be the new parking lots, will be demolished after students move into the new building. The $16.1 million facility is expected to open in 2009. The architect is Voorhis, Stone, Welsh, Crossland.
