Palm Beach County leases part of old high school in Delray Beach

With a new building in Delray Beach, Fla., the founders of Toussaint L'Ouverture High School for Arts and Social Justice are embarking on a new era. The struggling seven-year-old charter school has faced many obstacles, but with today's ribbon cutting at its latest campus, officials hope the torrent of challenges has eased. The school has been in five buildings since it opened in 2001. Now it has a $1-a-year lease with the Palm Beach County school district for about 38,000 square feet at the old Atlantic High School.
