Algonac, Mich., district mulls possible bond vote in November

$37 million would pay for districtwide upgrades.

School officials in the Algonac (Mich.) district are considering putting a $37 million bond issue on the Nov. 6 election ballot. The money would be used for renovations at all of the district's buildings. The 20-year tax would take affect in 2009 and replace a levy that is set to expire.
