Chicago school wins recycling contest

St. Cornelius Catholic School collected 885,000 containers for recycling

From After months of counting, sorting, and collecting beverage containers, St. Cornelius Catholic School in Chicago has won a $50,000 grand prize for green improvements. The school is the winner of PepsiCo's "Dream Machine School Makeover," part of a program to raise environmental awareness for K-12 students. St. Cornelius beat out about 900 schools by collecting 885,000 beverage containers to be recycled.
