New Morgan State facility will house architecture school

University aims for LEED certification with construction project.

Morgan State University in Baltimore is building a new Center for Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies. The 125,000-square-foot building will mark a northern gateway to Morgan State’s campus. It will house its Institute of Architecture and Planning, Department of Civil Engineering and Institute of Transportation, as well as other shared facilities. It will be designed to receive silver LEED certification from the U. S. Green Building Council. The architects are The Freelon Group and CSD.
