Private school will be part of mixed-use development in Chicago

The city of Chicago has approved a mixed-use project in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, where a private school is under construction. A five-story building will house The British School of Chicago on the southern third of its development site. A four-story retail and office building and an eight-story parking facility is being built on the northern two-thirds of the site. The British School has 290 students at a temporary site, and will be able to serve up to 800 students, ages 3 to 18 when the new building opens in January 2008.
