Student union in Missouri gets LEED gold

Facility at University of Missouri-Kansas City opened last year

News release: The University of Missouri-Kansas City says that its Student Union has been certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED] Gold project. The building, which opened in August 2010, has public transportation access, storm-water control, daylighting, skylights, high ceilings, a central stairway and a 6,300-square-foot multi-purpose area that is divisible into four rooms.
