7th graders denied bathroom break at Chicago school

District investigates after two students who used bathroom are suspended.

Chicago Public Schools officials are investigating a teacher's decision to deny her seventh-grade class at Cuffe Math and Science Academy their post-lunch bathroom break--and how staffers handled problems that followed. This month, the school tried to suspend two students who went to the bathroom without permission. The students were supposed to have an appeal hearing, but it has been canceled and the kids' suspensions were lifted.
