Pace of growth slows for San Antonio-area schools

North East and Northside districts still need more space, but they don't need it as quickly

From The San Antonio Express-News: After years of frantic construction sprees, some San Antonio-area school districts are re-evaluating their growth plans. Suburban neighborhood growth has slowed with the economy, sending fewer new students into the North East and Northside independent school districts. New schools still are needed, but not as quickly. And the economy makes the timing of the next bond elections a delicate one, the superintendents of Northside and North East say.
