Number of female superintendents is growing
From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: A recently released study by the American Association of School Administrators says the percentage of female superintendents has increased nearly four times from what it was in 1992. The study, released, is the latest in a series of reports conducted every 10 or so years since the early 1920s. The most recent findings show that in a survey of about 2,000 superintendents nationwide, 24 percent were women — up from 13 percent when the survey was last taken a decade ago.
