Michigan district will tear down former administrative offices

After months of controversy. the Mount Clemens (Mich.) School Board has voted to tear down the Murphy House, the building that housed the district's administration offices until 2006. The board rejected an offer from a group of community members who wanted to preserve the structure. The day after the administration moved out in 2006, a fire significantly damaged the building.
