Missouri charters need more funding, better oversight

National charter group says many Missouri charters are not doing better than traditional schools

From The Kansas City Star: A decade after Missouri authorized the establishment of charter schools, many of those campuses are not doing much better than traditional public schools, a national watchdog group says. Two reasons: not getting their fair share of education money or enough monitoring, contends a report by the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools.
