State ended moratorium on charter schools earlier this year

From The Wilmington News Journal: The Delaware State Board of Education has approved charters for three schools. They will be the first schools to open since a moratorium on new charters ended earlier this year. Each of the proposed schools is designed to cater to a niche student population: Delaware Academy for Public Safety and Security is targeted at educating at-risk students to become first responders; Reach Academy for Girls will be the state's first all-girls public school; and Las Americas Aspira Academy is designed to reach New Castle County's Hispanic population through a dual-language immersion K-8 program.
