$5.5 million donation for Washington, D.C., charter schools

From The Washington Post: A $5.5 million gift will help expand a network of high-performing charter schools in Washington, D.C. The grant by Venture Philanthropy Partners, a nonprofit organization, will fund Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) schools.
