Philadelphia district will allow reopening of charter school that had a nightclub on its campus

Nightclub that operated on weekends at site of Harambee Institute of Science and Technology has been closed

From The Philadelphia Inquirer: The Philadelphia School District officials says students will be allowed to return to the Harambee Institute of Science and Technology charter school next week now that a nightclub has been removed from the building. Superintendent Arlene Ackerman has received a letter from the president of Harambee's board saying the club and banquet facility have ceased operations. Ackerman had threatened to close the school if the club remained in the building.
