Nightclub that operated on weekends at site of Harambee Institute of Science and Technology has been closed
FromThe Philadelphia Inquirer: ThePhiladelphiaSchool District officials says students will be allowed to return to theHarambee Institute of Science and Technologycharter school next weeknow that a nightclub has been removed from the building. Superintendent Arlene Ackerman has received a letter from the president of Harambee's board saying the club and banquet facility have ceased operations. Ackerman had threatened to close the school if the club remained in the building.
